Sleepy Since Seattle

Whewww! I must be getting old. Ever since we hit Seattle I have been tired. Driving 5000+ miles and dealing with four children can sure take it out of you. I dream about a time where maybe my wife and I could just have some time alone but that isn't going to happen. I even look forward to 20 years in the future when Angie and I will be by ourselves doing the ministry and maybe not have to have such a big camper. But I long for these moments that I can spend with my kids. They are truly a blessing and God has granted me the opportunity to teach them and guide them and for that I am grateful.
I will tell you the one thing I have appreciated since we have hit Seattle and have been sleepy since and that is in my weakness I rely more on Christ. There has been a definite growth in my reliance, submission and focus on Him. This did not come from reading my Bible more or going to church more. This came from simply submitting to Him and sacrificing for Him. Even though I am a huge promoter and stickler for disciples of Jesus to know the Master's Words (Studying and meditating on God's Word) and being involved in a local church. I don't believe they are the complete answer for spiritual growth. They are necessary but the perfection of spiritual growth comes from a personal submission to Christ and living Him out in our lives by doing good works which will require personal sacrifice. I love Jesus more now than ever!
